Chase! has three speed modes! The App starts in Indoor Mode. To can select the mode that is right for your purpose using the app by tapping the device name (green arrow) and then tapping on the speed you want!
First - the device needs to be plugged in (and the blue light on the bottom of the device is flashing). See: Chase blue light on device
From the home screen of your app, click the "Let's Play" button - tap the chase image
Then tap "Your device" for the dropdown menu & select the mode you want from the list.
